For her personal project, the Isolation EP includes four tracks composed and performed by Randol. With her artistry on display, this project features cinematic compositions that highlight a range of emotion, movement, and instrumental tapestries. These atmospheric tracks evoke the human experience and transport the listener to a reflective state of mind.
Featured vocalist, IAMEVE, soars over the track “Be Steady” with an ambient and haunting elegance. Featured performers include Ro Rowan on Cello (“The Road is Uncertain” and “Sleeping Spell”) and Lauren Conklin on Violin (“The Road is Uncertain”).
While every track is a gorgeous and immersive listening experience, “Be Steady” is a personal favorite; when it expands into sweeping strings almost halfway through, I almost cried. It brings the EP home, and I’m immediately reminded of some of the moments in the Chronicles of Narnia movie series that movie that made me fall in love with scores in the first place. It’s a stunning piece of art, and the perfect capstone to a beautiful listening experience.
