Myki was joined by Jess Sherwyn (Head of Marketing & Development), Lead Mentor Blair Michael (Syryn Records), and Lead Mentor Emma Cesar (GRL Mag) to discuss the internship programs for both GRL Mag and Syryn Records. Plus, each guest described their role within the organization and how each of them learned about GRSB. The application deadline for the internships is December 15, 2021.

Girls Rock Santa Barbara is part of the Girls Rock Camp Alliance, a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower girls and womxn through music education, the creative arts, community, and positive mentorship. Since launching in 2012, GRSB has been rooted in amplifying marginalized voices through the arts. They have provided over $1,000,000 in scholarships to low-income youth, youth of color, and refugee youth, and continue to develop fully subsidized programs that deliver empowering arts instruction and mentorship to marginalized youth. GRSB partner with several organizations and crucial community leaders in order to provide subsidized one-week music programs throughout California.
