The National Association of Music Merchants’ (NAMM) Oral History Program, a collection of videos which captures and shares the stories behind some of the music industry’s most influential game-changers, showcased recording engineer Lenise Bent.

From the NAMM website: As a leading recording engineer and producer in a male world—especially so when she began her career in the 1970s—Lenise has proven time and time and time again that skill and passion far outweigh gender when it comes to creating popular and, for several projects, historic recordings. Among those timeless recordings are Aja with Steely Dan, Breakfast In America with Supertramp and Tusk with Fleetwood Mac. In addition to the many facets of her career, Lenise is also one of the most incredible people in our industry, and it was a true honor to document her career in this meaningful way.
