The third annual 2015 She Rocks Awards are taking place Fri., Jan. 23, 2015, at the Hilton Anaheim in Anaheim, Calif., from 6 – 8:30 p.m., and there are a few things you should know to prep beforehand. So in an effort to help you get the most out of your experience, check out these handy tips:
Get tickets beforehand. If you haven’t purchased tickets yet, you can do so at www.sherocksawards.com. Be sure to print your tickets and bring them with you to the event. This is the fastest, most efficient way to ensure your entry. Plus, you won’t run the risk of having tickets selling out.
What to bring with you. The She Rocks Awards ceremony is filled with a who’s who of women and executives in music. You’ll want to bring a camera to capture the exciting moments throughout the event, and business cards to exchange while networking.
Arrive on time. The awards ceremony has been jam-packed for the past two years, and it’s best to arrive as soon as doors open at 6 p.m. This way you’ll have a chance of getting better seats and not getting stuck in long lines.
Check out the silent auction. Thanks to our generous supporters and sponsors, the She Rocks Awards offer an incredible selection of gear, special packages and experiences available for bidding at the silent auction. Items include autographed guitars; recording time at world-famous music studios; and more. It is highly unlikely you’ll find these items elsewhere, so we encourage you to get them while you can. Plus, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the Girls Rock Camp Alliance, you’ll be supporting a great cause.
What you should wear. People often ask what they should wear. We recommend nice casual, a business dress, or rock and roll fashion. Really whatever makes you happy.
Other things to know. The Awards make for a unique opportunity for guests to meet other people. If you don’t know the person next to you, say hi. You never know if the person you’re sitting next to will be pivotal to your career, your next best friend or jam buddy.
There will be hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar for drinks on site. Credit cards will also be accepted at the cash bar.
