New York City musician Andrew Kalleen being arrested for performing in subway.

There has been controversy revolving around the recent arrest of N.Y.-based musician Andrew Kalleen, who allegedly broke the law for playing guitar in a New York subway.

In light of that, Acoustic Nation’s Laura Zucker wrote an article to inform musicians on their busking rights.

As you can see in the video below, Kalleen tried telling the Metropolitan Transportation Authority that he had the right to play, but despite his repeated attempts to get the officer to understand the law, he didn’t and arrested Kalleen after he refused to be ejected from the subway.
