The Girls in the Band, a movie about female jazz musicians in the ’30s and ’40s, announced five new screenings across five different cities in the United States.
Screening dates:
- Saturday, November 9 in Newark, New Jersey
- Monday, November 11 in Anchorage, Alaska; Pasadena, California; and Austin, Texas
- November 15 and November 17 in Cleveland, Ohio
The film, directed by by Judy Chaikin, tells the untold stories of female jazz and big band instrumentalists and their fascinating, groundbreaking journeys from the late ’30s to today.
