Courtney Love is seeking a female bassist for her new eponymous band, but hasn’t had much luck finding one.
“I put an ad on Craigslist that said, ‘Band in the style of Hole looking for bassist in the style of Melissa Auf der Maur,” she recently told Bust magazine.
The former Hole front woman received only one response, and attributes the minimal response to lack of female bass players.
“I got exactly one response,” she added. “There’s just not a lot of chick bass players.”
