Los Angeles, California-based “Starless” is not the first time her voice has made waves

Better known as Brianna Knickerbocker, she first shined a light in the entertainment world as a well-known Anime and Videogame voice actor, with popular projects like Demon Slayer, Genshin Impact, Fire Emblem Heroes, and Re:Zero.

Her talents were rewarded in 2015 with the Staff Choice Award & People’s Choice Award for Breakthrough Voice Actress of the Year, 4th Annual BTVA Anime Dub Awards. Starless released multiple singles, including “Vampire,” and correlating video content.

She reveals, “‘Vampire” is about a destructive codependent relationship and plays with the idea that both people get something out of the destruction. Electronic currents flow through the airy vocals, tempting and haunting.”

Starless continues, “I funded my first ever Kickstarter to make my first professional music video for this song, ‘Vampire’ (of course as a horror lover, it had to be all horror vibes, sexy vampire to the front!). It’s kind of my love letter to Grimes, her dreamy music inspired this song. Then as I crafted the song it turned into this delicious dark narrative which I had to tell. I’ve always been particular to music videos, it’s one of my favorite artistic/visual mediums. So, this was quite the dream come true for me.”
