In case you haven’t paid attention as of late, Miley Cyrus is no longer the young and unassuming “Hannah Montana” you once knew.

She’s blossomed into a gutsy and multifaceted singer with an undeniable talent. Just take a look at her interpretation of Dolly Parton’s 1974 hit “Jolene.”

Cyrus, who happens to be Parton’s godchild, recorded the cover during last summer’s “Backyard Sessions,” which showcase Cyrus and her band jamming out to some of her favorite tunes.

Other covers she’s done as part of the Sessions include Bob Dylan’s “You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go,” and James Shelton’s “Lilac Wine.”
