WiMN Founder Laura B. Whitmore was interviewed by Dirty D (Dianna Fryer) Jan. 2 on the independent radio show, Radio Memphis.
With all of the buzz surrounding the upcoming 2016 She Rocks Awards at the NAMM Show in Anaheim, Calif. on Friday, Jan. 22, D and Whitmore discussed many facets of the WiMN, specifically the awards show.
Talking about the evolution of the WiMN, clients of Mad Sun Marketing (Whitmore’s company), and the 2016 SRA honorees, the interview was full of laughs and informational gems. The She Rocks Awards came from very humble beginnings four years ago, and is now a well-established night at NAMM, honoring music industry juggernauts such as Chaka Khan and Jennifer Batten this year.
Whitmore and D also announced their upcoming segment collaboration: the WiMN Artist Spotlight. The segment will highlight a female artist and their music every Saturday at 2:30 p.m. CT during “Radio Memphis Around the World,” broadcasting to 147 + countries worldwide.
