Alice Herz-Sommer, a London concert pianist and oldest living survivor of the Holocaust, passed away Feb. 23 at 110 years of age.
Academy Award-winning filmmaker Malcolm Clarke recently showcased Sommer’s extraordinary life in short documentary The Lady in Number 6: Music Saved My Life. There she accounts her incredible life anecdotes and explains what music meant to her:
“My world is music; I am not interested in anything else.” she said. “Music is a dream. Music is a dream!,” she added.
