A woman with love for dogs and music combined her passions by developing a music therapy program suitable for furry loved ones – dogs.
Julie Dorsey-Oskerka of Carol Stream, Ill., is the creator behind “A Sound Beginning,” a program designed to help dogs relax and relieve anxiety.
According to the Daily Herald, her husband, jazz pianist Bruce Oscar, composed the music for the program’s CD and recorded it in a studio. His skills provided her with the slower tempos and notes in the lower register she needed.
