According to Billboard magazine, the cause of iconic singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell’s weeks-long hospitalization that began on March 31 was a brain aneurysm.
The singer, now 71, was found unconscious in her home in Los Angeles and was admitted to a nearby hospital. Showbiz 411 reported that “speech is difficult” for Mitchell, “but she’s communicating.”
An insider told Billboard that Mitchell was expected to be moved to a rehab facility and noted her condition as “very serious.”
