Multi-platinum, chart-topping Australian duo The Veronicas have signed with U.S. powerhouse label Big Noise for their newest release, which will be debuting in 2023. The Veronicas, who have had a 17-year career with chart-topping success and multiple worldwide hit songs including sixteen Top 10 singles, 3 #1s, 5 multiplatinum-selling international albums and more than 900 million global streams, are the debut female-fronted signing for Big Noise and are set to be a premiere priority for the label next year. The acclaimed duo recently teased studio time with the label’s A&R John Feldmann and Travis Barker (Blink 182) and is being added to festivals across the U.S. for 2023 including the biggest emo rock revival festival WHEN WE WERE YOUNG, giving fans the first taste of The Veronicas back on U.S. soil in 7 years.

“The Veronicas have been at the forefront of unapologetic female pop punk their entire career, and we’re excited to represent their music & vision into 2023,” says Jon Cohen, president of Big Noise Music Group.

Founded by industry titans Nick Gross (Zendaya, Ariana Grande, Wiz Khalifa), Jon Cohen (The 1975, Dashboard Confessional, Edward Sharpe), and rock producer and A&R John Feldmann (The Used, Avril Lavigne, 5 Seconds of Summer), Big Noise has been spearheading some of the biggest alt-pop and rock releases in 2022, including MOD SUN’s album Internet Killed the Rockstar, which has over 250 million streams and includes the hit single “Flames”, which features alternative icon Avril Lavigne. The label’s roster also includes The Used, Goldfinger, The Wrecks, Escape the Fate, girlfriends, and several other acts in the alternative and rock spaces.

The Veronicas hail from Australia, yet their impact has been felt around the globe. Jessica and Lisa Origliasso, twin sisters, were teenagers when they moved to LA, signed a record deal with the Grandfather of Punk Rock, Seymour Stein (Madonna, The Ramones) to Warner Bros/Sire Records, and released their first album, THE SECRET LIFE OF to critical acclaim with three Top 10 singles, including their songs with Swedish hitmaker Max Martin, “4EVER” and “EVERYTHING IM NOT.” In 2007 they released their second album HOOK ME UP, which skyrocketed the girls into the USA market with their now-iconic song, “UNTOUCHED”, which became a Billboard Top #20 hit. Touring with the likes of Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and The Jonas Brothers, The Veronicas quickly solidified their recognizable harmonies and dynamic performance in pop music forever. The Veronicas surprised their fans in 2014 by releasing a piano-driven ballad, “YOU RUIN ME”, a brave departure from their pop/rock roots that rewarded the band with their second #1 hit and top #5 hit in the UK. Two years later, The Veronicas were back again in the number #1 position with their euphoric dancefloor anthem “IN MY BLOOD”, followed by numerous other albums and solo ventures.

The Veronicas’ spectacular 17-year career speaks for itself; solidified as Australian icons, they were the first Australian artists ever to score a platinum record for downloads in the U.S. (over one million records sold for 2007’s “UNTOUCHED”), and currently have five multi-platinum selling Top #5 international albums with sixteen Top #10 singles, including three #1 singles. They have 900 million-plus streams and have received countless international awards from MTV Australia, MTV Europe, Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, ARIA, APRA, TMF, and Los Premios MTV. The band’s signing to Big Noise is just the latest out of many accomplishments for the duo, signifying the next evolution of their career.
