Paula Salvatore – VP/Client Relations and Marketing, Universal Music Group

Paula Salvatore has been an anchor of excellence in the L.A. recording world for many years. As the former Senior Director and Manager of Capitol Studios for over 30 years, and currently the Vice President of Client Relations and Marketing at Universal Music Group, Paula has been an integral part of recordings for top line artists such as James Taylor and Tony Bennett and has worked alongside Grammy legend Al Schmitt with artists including Paul McCartney, Diana Krall, Natalie Cole, Barbra Streisand, Sinatra and others.

With the opening of the new Studio A in 1990, Paula helped establish Capitol Studios as a leading facility for Film & TV Scoring projects, with Capitol hosting renowned composers such as Dave Grusin, James Newton Howard, Michael Giacchino, and Tom Newman. The Studio A & B adjoining rooms are amongst the most unique and popular rooms for orchestra sessions, live shows and events and film locations. Hosting the pre-records and live broadcast of the annual Academy Awards have set the standard for excellence.

Paula established her management career working at Kendun Studios with the likes of Quincy Jones and George Benson, and numerous R & B legends. Moving to Sound City in the 80’s, she worked with artists such as Tom Petty, Pat Benatar Rick Springfield and Fleetwood Mac. During the rock era of this decade, she worked with both heavy metal and “hair” bands from Dio and Guns & Roses to Warrant and Poison.

Musician, producer and now director, Dave Grohl of the FooFighters and once drummer for Nirvana, released his critically acclaimed documentary, Sound City, in which Paula is featured. She also co-wrote and performed the end title theme, entitled “Sound City”. The studio business has been Paula’s life journey and she is held in the highest esteem amongst her colleagues. Many successful engineers have come up through the ranks under her guidance and Paula’s commitment and loyalty has earned her the respect of her renowned clientele.

Lyndsey Parker, Yahoo Ent Music Editor, Sirius XM Volume Host

Lyndsey Parker is no stranger to the worlds of music and pop culture – she’s written about both topics nonstop since the 1990’s. As the Music Editor at Yahoo Entertainment, Lyndsey lends her expertise in these areas to cover some of the most important moments in modern music. If it made a splash in the public lexicon, chances are Lyndsey has written about it.

Lyndsey takes her love of music and pop culture one step further with her daily SiriusXM show, Volume West. Here, Lyndsey and a rotating cast of guests discuss everything music related that you need to know for the day. Plus, it’s not uncommon for some big names to show up; regular guests include Davey Havok (AFI), Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), and Margaret Cho.

Daisy Hoffman, Wasserman music agent

Wasserman Music agent Daisy Hoffman’s roster includes some of hottest artists in dance music. This year she signed house heavyweights John Summit and Lee Foss; booked Vegas residencies at Hakkasan & the Wynn for Summit, Party Favor & Sidepiece; and booked her artists on every major festival, including Coachella, Ultra, Hangout, EDC Vegas, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo and Firefly. Her Grammy-nominated client Sidepiece sold out 2022 headline shows at Avant Gardner in New York (2000 cap) and The Palladium in Los Angeles (3600 cap). John Summit recently sold out his full Fall tour, including two shows at Brooklyn Mirage and two at the Shrine in L.A. selling more than 10k tickets at each venue. In the past 18 months, she has rebuilt her team post-pandemic, with all female support.

Hoffman became an agent at Paradigm Talent Agency in 2019, then joined Wasserman Music via Wasserman’s acquisition of Paradigm’s live music division in 2021. Prior to joining Paradigm, she worked with two of Paradigm’s partner agencies, joining AM Only in 2014 as an assistant and booking coordinator, then The Windish Agency in 2016 as a booking coordinator. She began her career as an intern at CAA while attending Northwestern University.
