starsMontreal-based indie band Stars launched the music video for their latest single “Hold On When You Get Love And Let Go When You Give It.”

The video features transvestites embracing their lifestyle and teaches a lesson or two about opening up your imagination and loving who you are.

“I wanted to make a video that celebrated the following things: 1. Being yourself 2. Being someone else 3. Being fucking fabulous 4. Showing up, putting on your heels and staying alive,” said band frontman Torquil Campbell. “Drag queens know a couple of things the rest of us choose not to know: you are who you imagine yourself to be, and you can be a star even if, especially if, nobody ever knows who you really are.

The band is set to kick off their fall tour at Riot Fest in Chicago, along with shows across the U.S. and a stop at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles.
