She Rocks Podcast: Ep63 with Danielia Cotton

We caught up with Danielia as she was getting ready to run the NYC marathon and supporting her spouse as he battles Mantle cell lymphoma.

Welcome back to another She Rocks Podcast! This week WiMN founder Laura B. Whitmore talks with Danielia Cotton. You can find previous episodes of the She Rocks Podcast here, as well as wherever you get podcasts. Remember to rate and review!

Danielia Cotton latest release, ‘Good Day’, masterfully melds gritty rock n’ roll, blues, motown and gospel into a gorgeous sonic tapestry. Danielia uses her gritty rock ‘n’ roll music to confront the social, political and racial turmoils of the past and looks to grander, grounded possibilities in the future. This NYC-based singer, songwriter and all around survivor has faced many challenges. She embraces a variety of religions as “JewBu” (a Jewish Buddhist), and is a cancer survivor and a woman who today channels her struggles within her gritty, Motown-steeped music. Now a mother of a four-year old daughter, we caught up with Danielia as she was getting ready to run the NYC marathon and supporting her spouse as he battles Mantle cell lymphoma, an aggressive and currently incurable form of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Check out this inspiring conversation!
