Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings have released their final record, Soul of a Woman, almost a year to the day of Sharon’s passing. In celebration of her life, The Dap-Kings will be performing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on November 17 at 11:35 PM EST/8:35 PM PST.
Soul of a Woman has been acclaimed “Album of the Month” by UNCUT and has been praised as “An unexpected final gift” by Paste. Associated Press describes it as “Sharon Jones recorded Soul of a Woman with the extraordinarily able and reliable Dap-Kings while battling the cancer which took her life a year ago — but her energy and vocal prowess are undiminished here.”
