Classical composer and instrumentalist Poppy Ackroyd has released a stunning, award-winning visual for her song, “Trains,” premiering on Nowness. The song will be on her upcoming album, Resolve, set to be released on February 2, 2018, in which the artist self-produced.
The video was directed by Jola Kudela and filmed in a time-lapse on both Norfolk and Suffolk beaches. The visual has won 12 awards including the Gold Movie Awards and South London Shorts. “Trains” has been praised by The Line of Best Fit stating, “It’s a beautiful, elongated five minutes or so and Ackroyd makes the whole thing seem completely effortless,” and Stereogum states that, “Poppy Ackroyd can conjure whole worlds of sound out of the barest essentials.”
