Imagine Iran’s first-ever female conductor playing in front of a massive crowd of skeptics. Now imagine she’s eight months pregnant. That was the case of Nazanin Aghakhani, a remarkable woman who overcame hurdles and made history by becoming Iran’s first-ever female conductor (even at eight months pregnant!).
