U.K.-based online publication M Magazine recently interviewed former singer-songwriter Julia Leggett, who is now the Chief Executive at the Academy of Contemporary Music – a prestigious music school in Guildford, Surrey, in the U.K.
Leggett gave advice on how to get started in the music industry, what moves to make once you’re in it, and how the industry has changed through time.
“I would take your time to understand the music industry,” Leggett told M Magazine about getting a career started in music. “Because talent is, of course, you know, necessary, as is belief, and desire, and drive, and all things that we know it takes to get a foot into what is a very difficult industry to get into.”
