In this episode of our weekly podcast series, LIVE: Front & Center Myki Angeline sat down with Briana Cash to discuss her current situation – the legal battle over the rights to her name.

Briana Cash found out in the beginning of 2020 that Interscope Records decided to use “Brianna Cash” as the legal name for their newly signed artist, Briana Castro. Since then, #therealBrianaCash has spent an exhaustive 8 months working with her attorney, sending the major label cease-and-desist letters, and endured online messages from Castro’s manager. Cash is in the right thanks to her birth certificate (Briana Cash is her birth name) and the fact she trademarked her name very early on in her career. During our 30 minute interview Briana goes into detail how this has affected her career so far, and what precautions every artist should take to protect themselves.
