The WiMN welcomes GRAMMY-Nominated recording artist, composer, author, and producer, Divinity Roxx to the LIVE: Front & Center podcast! Hosted by Myki Angeline, they discuss her pivot into the children’s music genre. Her latest album, World Wide Playdate, features Victor Wooten, Tarriona “Tank” Ball, Mumu Fresh, and more.
Her first children’s music album, Ready, Set, Go! was released in 2021 and nominated for a GRAMMY in 2022. The album caught the attention of Scholastic, Inc. who published two songs as full-color children’s picture books. Earlier this year, Roxx composed and performed the theme song for the PBS Children’s television show, ‘Lyla in the Loop.’
World Wide Play Date includes the single, “Imma Force”, which features hip hop sensation Mumu Fresh, along with some very special guests. Divinity took 20 young ladies from the Genesis Innovation Academy plus their Cheer Squad teacher, Ms. Moore into the infamous Tree Sound Studios in Atlanta (Georgia) and came out with a song that is inspirational, powerful, and affirming.
