On November 4 – exactly 43 years and a month after she passed away – Janis Joplin was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The ceremony featured a speech by music industry veteran Clive Davis and an acoustic performance by American country singer Kris Kristofferson, who performed “Me and Bobby McGee.”
