Steph Guthrie, writer for the Canadian edition of Huffington Post and member of Canadian-based band Patti Cake, recently compiled a list of infuriating things people say to female musicians.
Guthrie’s list is based on personal experience as well as responses she gathered from her Twitter followers.
Some of the things on her list include:
- “I didn’t know girls liked Iron Maiden.”
- “You must’ve dated at least half your band.”
- “Want a Betty Boop strap to go with that new guitar?”
