Woman-Powered Show Is In Support of Mental Health Action Day/Awareness Month

On Thursday, May 19, 2022, Gritty In Pink is partnering with Charity Bomb, a nonprofit organization that promotes positive mental health through Operation GENzEQ. Gritty In Pink continuously highlights female voices and calls for action on important issues, including America’s ongoing mental health crisis.

This year, Gritty In Pink’s Mental Health Awareness Month livestream fundraiser, benefiting Charity Bomb, will be on May 19, 2022 at 5pm PST/8pm EST on @grittyinpinklife Instagram Live. Gritty In Pink is featuring both mental health advocates and musicians for Mental Health Action Day, a nationwide initiative powered by MTV Networks. The show will feature performances from Southern California’s own The Aquadolls, feel-good singer MACKandgold, creator and indie artist Lexy Panterra, Chinese-Canadian alt-pop singer Vicki Lovelee, and songstress Dani Hagan with special appearances from singer Madeline Rosene and American Idol starlet Madison Watkins. The show will also be hosted by Shiragirl, Rainey P, and Gritty In Pink’s Bandmate of the Month Xtine Reckless.

Operation GENzEQ promotes emotional intelligence (EI) in youth and using measurements of emotional quotient (EQ), or the measurement of one’s emotional intelligence through controlling/knowing one’s emotions and recognizing others’ emotions. Charity Bomb focuses on preventative solutions to promote positive lifestyles and mental health for children. Matthew Leone, founder Charity Bomb, says, “We are continually grateful and thrilled to partner with the GRL movement, which catalyzes success for Charity Bomb’s mission of creating mentally strong and resilient communities.”
