In celebration of Guitar Month we are excited to share our live online spotlight featuring 3 killer guitarists. Hosted by WiMN founder, Laura B. Whitmore! Join us on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 5p PT/8p ET for live for performances by:
- Janet Robin – Music audiences around the world have seen Janet’s incredible guitar work as a former touring member of the Lindsey Buckingham Band (from Fleetwood Mac), Meredith Brooks, Air Supply, and many other respected and well-known artists. She has also composed for Film and Television, released her own music, and toured worldwide as a solo artist. Her focus lately has been the all-instrumental guitar trio, The String Revolution, which she founded. The band uniquely arranges original and cover songs and won a Grammy Award® in 2024 for “Best Arrangement, Instrumental or A Cappella” for their version of “Folsom Prison Blues.”
- Ariel Bellvalaire – Described by fans as “Lady Gaga with a hint of Van Halen,” Ariel is a guitar-shredding, vocally-arresting, unapologetically over-the-top performer. Ariel has taken part in several prominent international tours, including performing as a guitarist for the for the world-renowned singer-songwriter Debbie Gibson, Drag The Musical (featuring many of the contestants on Ru Paul’s Drag Race) along with many others. She is currently at work on her debut album.
- Shantaia – 2023 SCMA Female Artist of the Year Shantaia is a Nashville based singer/songwriter who was born and raised in the tiny town of Spiritwood, Saskatchewan. Showcasing powerful and unique vocals, Shantaia’s voice, much like her name, is unforgettable. Shantaia has toured with The Washboard Union, and has also opened for names such as Kane Brown, Chris Lane, Ryan Hurd, Emerson Drive, Charlie Major and more.
