‘Covid-Nineteen’ Is A New Awards Show To Honor Creativity In The Midst Of A World-Wide Pandemic

A Celebration of Creativity During Covid

The Covid-Nineteen is a new awards show created by the San Diego chapter of the One Club for Creativity that will highlight 19 pieces of incredible work. It will honor the dedication, creativity, and resourcefulness required to produce work amidst the ever-changing restrictions of a global pandemic. No trophies or categories, just brilliant creative work.

A virus can’t kill creativity. The Covid-Nineteen are proof.

Participants are instructed to upload your work via the entry form here by 5:00pm on Monday, November 30, 2020. Be sure to share your behind the scenes photos and video with your entry. Winners will be announced at a virtual awards show live on YouTube on Thursday, January 21, 2021.

There are no categories and no limits! Entries will be judged on design and how creativity was used to overcome the challenges of the pandemic. Here are the judges:

  • Raquel Rodriguez, President R2 Media
  • Gary DeLossa, Vice President Fox Dealer
  • Mike Cacciabondo, Creative Director Pinnacle Advertising
  • Alexander Salazar, Art Dealer
  • Tawny Matlaf, Account Manager GTB

The cost is $50 per entry with a $10 discount per entry for each individual who submits five or more entries . All entry fees benefit the One Club for Creativity San Diego and SAFE, the San Diego Advertising Fund for Emergencies. SAFE provides financial aid in life-crisis situations to members of the San Diego advertising and marketing community, and their families. For those with questions regarding the entry process or the awards show, please contact Jennifer Rea at jenrea@sandiego.oneclub.org.
