The Costa Rican a Capella sister group called, Sorelle have released their first single titled, “Perfect” – a song about self-love and acceptance. The quartet are comprised of Meli, Jo, Mariafer, and Ale Malavasi and have been performing together for two years. They describe their music as Pop-Soul style with simple instrument accompaniments, tight vocal harmonies, vocal riffing and catchy melodies and were finalists for the “X Factor London” auditions.
Their love for singing came from their father who would play guitar and sing at the family Christmas parties. Eventually the sisters were inspired to cover the song, “Mirrors” by Justin Timberlake which was well received by family and friends. This encouraged the sisters to write original music. Their first single “Perfect” came about when Sorelle noticed, “a lack of positive, empowering songs by an all-girl group.” says Meli. Jo and Meli live in Los Angeles, CA, while Mariafer and Ale live in Costa Rica. They plan on reuniting every couple of months to work on future music and utilize the world wide web when they aren’t together.
