Classical cellist Tina Guo will release a new album titled Cello Metal on August 4. The album is unique in its format because it features five heavy metal classics as well as five original compositions.
Each of the five metal classics feature a renowned guitarist – John 5 in Black Sabbeth’s “Iron Maiden;” Al Di Meola in Metallica’s “Sanitarium;” Nita Strauss on Iron Maiden’s “The Trooper;” Wes Borland on Slayer’s “Raining Blood;” and John Huldt on Pantera’s “Cowboys from Hell.” The five original compositions are titled “Child of Genesis,” “The God Particle,” “Eternal Night,” “Forbidden City,” and “Queen Bee.”
