Last month, U.K.-based online magazine PRS for Music hosted a roundtable with Summer Camp’s Elizabeth Sankey, electronic artist and composer Mira Calix and Gaggle Choir’s Deborah Coughlin.
The session grouped women from across the music industry to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing females in the business, and was moderated by Sophie Heawood, VICE columnist and writer for popular U.K. publications The Times, The Guardian, The Independent and NME.
In the video below, you can hear Calix, Coughlin and Sankey discussing the role of female songwriters and their efforts to cope with stereotypes. Stay tuned for the next video in the series!
