You may remember Susan Boyle from her 2009 performance on Britain’s Got Talent. You know, the unassuming but sassy singer with a shockingly angelical voice.

Boyle, who since appearing on the popular show has undergone a remarkable transformation, was known for being somewhat of a recluse. According to The Daily Mail, the singer once claimed she’d never been kissed. But now at 53 years old, she’s found a potential romantic suitor – a doctor she met while on tour in the United States.

“I don’t want to say any more about who he is right now as that would be unfair on him,” she said in an interview. “All I’ll say is we are around the same age and he was a very nice guy.”

Last year, Boyle announced she was diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome, but she doesn’t see it as an obstacle.

“I don’t see my Asperger’s as a disability,” she said. “I see it as an opportunity for people to understand and stop prejudging.”

The singer released her sixth album Hope, which includes renditions of Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here,” and Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water.” Watch the trailer below, and visit her website here for more information.
