The single is playful, sensual and bold – encouraging the listener to do away with all gender stereotypes, reclaim your power, and facilitate acceptance. “Redefining ‘bitch’, means we need to actually verbalize it in public. We shouldn’t fear saying it! The less we use the word, the more power we give to the incorrect definition, because it has been incorrectly defined. Let’s stop associating strong, powerful resilient women with negativity.” says Violet.
Violet Grae is a Berklee College of Music Alumnus, majoring in Music Business Management and Vocal Performance. She is an International Songwriter Competition Winner who advocates for equality and transparency. As an artist, business owner, mentor, and songwriter, Violet helps facilitate the opportunities for POC, LGTQIA+, women, and indie artists who have strong messages. She also founded Grae Agency, LA’s leading inclusive and full faceted boutique.
“Her sound and her style are equal parts beauty, shock and awe. Her entire persona is a statement of defiance and female empowerment. Violet is fighting the patriarchy in an industry which takes advantage of young women as a matter of course”. -Static Dive
Violet has worked with over 700 artists and has performed over 400 shows, including Boston Jazz Festival and the last in-person LA Pride. She has shared the stage with Yuna, Daley, and Grace Potter. She recently was part of Revry’s very first House of Pride sponsored by McDonalds and will be performing in their Queer X Fest this Fall.
