New York City based singer-songwriter Annalise Azadian released her single, “Freudian $lip” on all platforms, along with a teaser one minute video. It is the third single from her latest project titled, Six weeks of 7.

Self-described as a metaphorical writer, her soulful vocals layer over lyrics with verses that flow effortlessly, using the slip of words as a metaphor to the music industry deal structures:

Sign right there on the dotted line.

Cut the check, get it notarized

Takes two steps, just sign off your life

You’ll blow overnight

At age 22, Annalise has spent half of her life pursing a career in music. She began songwriting on the guitar at eleven, and by age fourteen was winning accolades at the famed Apollo Theater in Harlem; and since then has performed at hundreds of venues and music festivals. Annalise attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts refining her vocal, instrumental talent and songwriting style. Not only an accomplished writer, she is also a dynamic live performer as a multi-instrumentalist and entertainer. In May 2019, she sold-out her first headlining show at The Bowery Electric. Her next release is a 17 minute self-directed short film due out August 7, 2020.
