Young women find inspiration and build community in thiThe New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, New Jersey has announced an all-female jazz residency for the 2018 summer season, directed by jazz and R&B music educator Regina Carter. The one week program will build a community of women while working on their musician skills by working with jazz musicians. The program includes highlights such as field trips to jazz monuments and industry panels.
