Kristina Train Releases Dreamy New Single ‘99 Floors’

Kristina Train releases new single 99 Floorsfrom her upcoming record Country Line out September 19, 2025, on Blue Élan Records.

The stunning single offers a dreamlike glimpse into the new record. Co-written with acclaimed songwriter Ed Harcourt, “99 Floors” is a slow-burning atmospheric track that explores dissociation, escapism, and the pull of an imagined world over a chaotic reality.

Train’s sound is rooted in Americana but equally fluent in jazz, country, and soul. Her voice equally transcends you through its ethereal production and gentle chord shifts to set the tone for the upcoming album Country Line.

“It’s about having to take a timeout, time away from things–maybe living more in the dream world than the reality world,” says Train. “I tend to have my head in the clouds, and sometimes the dream world can be a lot more forgiving.”

This stripped-down, emotionally resonant collection, recorded live at Dave’s Room in Los Angeles and produced by Colin Devlin and Kirk Pasich, features contributions from some of Americana’s finest session players as well as lush string arrangements by Golden Globe-nominated composer Brian Byrne, performed by the Oklahoma Film Orchestra.

Country Line is Kristina Train’s fifth full-length release, following her critically acclaimed 2022 album Body Pressure and a global-spanning career that began as the final artist signed to Blue Note Records. Train’s latest work explores new musical landscapes, blending Americana roots with contemporary textures, continually showcasing her growth as an artist.
