Drea, a skilled dancer and professional choreographer as well as a talented singer, had a clear vision with how she wanted to come across in this video, “It was important to me to treat this differently than I would for any other song. “Take Me Home” is a sexual anthem, a true pop song; therefore, I knew the video had to be done carefully and with intention. I didn’t want this to be just another sex song with a sexy video.”

She also included a diverse cast of performers, choosing an Asian male lead, with African American female back up dancers – something very important to Drea, “in Hollywood, Asian men are not often seen in starring roles, especially not as the romantic interest…while female dancers in music videos are often represented in a hyper-sexualized and exploitative way. Ultimately, this video is about owning female sexuality, and stating firmly that we as women, and as diverse people, have the power to be sexy on our own terms.”

No Vacancy is a collection of tour de force dance-pop anthems which includes the self titled track, “Want Me Forever”, and “L.A. Lovin”.  Drea poured her heart into this EP describing it as her soul expressing itself through dance anthems. I have had the pleasure of meeting this dynamic multi talented artist, and I look forward to seeing what she will conquer next.
