Val Sepulveda, a Chilean drummer, 2013 Women’s Music Summit clinician, and winner of last year’s Hit Like a Girl contest, gave advice to women interested in participating in the drumming competition.
Sepulveda said she was skeptical at first, but after her friends encouraged her she went for it. “There’s nothing to lose, and so much to win,” she said.
