Artist OnismE just released the video for her new single “Survivors”, the title track for the upcoming EP, which is available on all streaming platforms. The video was directed by Jim McKay, and performed by Eline Chavez, Chris “CeeRod” Rodriguez, Chris “Lefty” Vargas, and Raj Arenas.

Someone get me out of here

I’m done breaking down walls

Can you get me out of here?

I’m not winning this war

When asked what inspired the lyrics to this song, Eline had this to say, “I have been motivated and inspired by this crazy year. It’s been a roller coaster of emotion and, every month has thrown at us something new. It’s been a sh*t year. I think it’s safe to say that we all want out of this nightmare. At the same time, there have been little rays of hope. If you are listening to music or this song then, you are alive and kicking. That’s a reason to be thankful and a reason to not lose hope.”

Front woman Eline Chavez takes her journey of being born in California, raised in Texas, and now calling New York City home, and puts it all into her emotion-fueled songwriting. Inspired by groundbreaking female rockers like Joan Jett, Bonnie Raitt, and Melissa Etheridge, Eline has taken this energy to new levels with the Onism E project.  Onism E is a culmination of life experiences wrapped up in a soulful package that is carving a unique space within the indie rock world.
