Music news website Gigwise posted a compilation of 35 women who changed the world of music. The list includes everyone from pioneers of the early 20th Century, to today’s no-nonsense, envelope-pushing pop stars.
Among the women are singer Marian Anderson; country star Patsy Cline; jazz icon Nina Simone; and more recent stars like Adele; Amy Winehouse; and Lady Gaga.
