Earlier this year, Against Me! frontwoman Laura Jane Grace covered “Dilaudid” by The Mountain Goats during her show at The Troubadour in Los Angeles with The Devouring Mothers. That performance has now been released by A Fistful of Vinyl, which can be viewed above.
Laura’s take on the 2005 folk-punk tune is loud and crushing, a stark contrast to the orchestral original.
This is not the first time Laura Jane Grace has covered The Mountain Goats. In 2018, Laura covered the Mountain Goats’ “The Best Ever Death Metal Band in Denton” for the tribute record I Only Listen to the Mountain Goats: All Hail West Texas.
