The duo was inspired by Joseph’s book on the rhythm’s of Africa, specifically the ancient Mangambe and the Bikutsi. They were joined by a number of renowned musicians including Étienne M’Bappé, keyboardist Jonathan Shorten, and guitarist Nitin Sawhney for an improvised music session.
