Produced by ROCKRGRL Magazine / ROCKRGRL Music Conference founder, Carla DeSantis Black and Musicians for Equal Opportunities for Women, MEOW Con is the largest conference of its kind, dedicated to exposure, empowerment and community-building for women in all genres of music.
The ROCKRGRL Music Conferences of 2000 and 2005 were legendary. Now MEOW Con’s scope will take that original concept even further: becoming international and interactive.
Anticipated attendance: 2,500.
Although the conference is created for and about women, all are welcome to attend.
Scheduled discussions will include topics such as touring when you are a mom, controlling your image as a woman and constructive ways to combat sexism and ageism in the music industry.
WiMN founder Laura B. Whitmore will moderate two panels at the event on Saturday, October 26th. Music Camp Revolution at 2:15pm and Successful Crowdfunding at 4:45pm.
The kick-off for the inaugural event is a banquet honoring the 2013 Woman of Valor Award recipient, musician/actress/entertainer Suzi Quatro. Suzi will also give the Keynote address on Friday, October 25th. CLICK HERE to read more about Suzi Quatro.
Kathy Valentine, who recently left the Go-Go’s after 30 years, will present Suzi with the award and give the opening speech on Saturday, October 26th. CLICK HERE to read more about Kathy.
You can participate in MEOW Con in a variety of ways: as a sponsor, advertiser, trade show exhibitor, speaker, official showcase performer or host one of our networking events.
