Clarinet player Rozanne Levine is set to perform at the Blue Door Gallery in Yonkers N.Y. on Thurs., March 7, from 6 -8 p.m. for an evening of poetry reading and improvised music as part of the venue’s monthly PoJazz series.
The event will be curated by poet-in-residence Golda Solomon, and in honor of Women’s History Month, Levine and Solomon will be joined by violinist/vocalist Rosi Hertlein, bassist Mimi Jones, and poets Cheryl Boyce-Taylor and Mary Leonard.
Levine performs on alto clarinet, clarinet and bamboo flute, and leads a quartet, Chakra Tuning, with Mark Whitecage, Perry Robinson, and Rosi Hertlein.
