bethmarlisaward

It seems 2014 is the year for well-deserved recognition for Vice President of Industry and Community Relations  Beth Marlis from Musicians Institute in Hollywood, Calif.

In January of this year, the WiMN honored her with the She Rocks “Champion Award” for her relentless work in music education. And on July 30, Marlis received yet another trophy  (this time from MI) for her priceless contributions.

Marlis, who has been at MI for 27 years, received the award for the essential curriculum she wrote for the Guitar Program at MI along with co-author Daniel Gilbert. It has been in use since 1996, and will be retired from circulation in Oct. 2014 as it will be replaced by a new digital delivery system and program for the school.

We are sure there are more than enough reasons to keep honoring Marlis for the rest of the year!
