The rest of the music industry should take a page from Taylor Swift’s book, as Billboard reported sales shy of 1.3 million copies in one week for the super star’s latest album 1989.
Swift’s sales are not just the best first-week digits of 2014, they’re the best digits in 2014 altogether. No other album released this year has even sold 750k yet total, which is very telling of the current state of the industry.
