The February issue of Premier Guitar magazine features an interview with singer, producer and guitar player Rosie Flores.

The twangmeister and rockabilly queen talked about her 11th album Working Girl’s Guitar, her gear, and how she’d rather not have her gender factor in when determining her musical abilities.

“Make me sound like I’m a big, fat, sweaty guitar-player guy,” she told Premier Guitar. “Don’t think about my gender. I’ve said from the beginning, whatever you do, don’t think, ‘This is Rosie, I have to make her guitar sound sweet.’”

The WiMN’s founder Laura Whitmore also had the chance to interview the lovely Texan through her Guitar World column “Guitar Girl’d.” Check that out here, and read what else Flores had to say to Premier Guitar here.
