Kiley Lotz, or more commonly known as Petal, has released “Tight Rope”, the second song off her upcoming album. The highly anticipated LP, Magic Gone, is set to be released June 15 on Run for Cover Records.
Lotz identified “Tight Rope” as, “the thesis of the duality of the record.” She states that “Tightrope Walker/Miracle Clinger are the two worlds I was living in: becoming very skilled at a dangerous performance, which has great consequences if you fail and also clinging onto the idea that there is hope in all this pain and maybe there will be some great resolution beyond my control.”
Last month, Lotz released the first single off the new record “Better Than You.” Stereogum praised the track as “charged-up, confident and catchy.” In addition to the new song, Lotz also added headlining European dates for the fall.
