Author Angela Smith released an insightful collection of more than 50 female drummers in a book which she titled Women Drummers: A History from Rock and Jazz to Blues in Country.
The book, now available through Amazon, includes talented drummers Viola Smith, Sheila E, Cindy Blackman Santana, Allison Miller, Jyn Yates, and more, offering a “comprehensive look at the world of professional drumming and the women who had the courage and chops to break the barriers of this all-too-male field.”
