Nineteen-year-old Queens-based rapper and actress Mocha Bands has shared the music video for her song, “Longevity,” following the release of her 2017 debut album, The Year of the Mocha. The music video premiered on HipHopDX where they praised the artist as “Mocha shows off her ability to rhyme precision” and that she “seeks rap game vitality.” 

Mocha spoke with HipHopDX about the track stating that “As a lyricist, I strive to influence the Hip Hop world and to be remembered decades from now. Similar to the various artists that I’ve grown to respect, such as JAY-Z, Lauryn Hill, Nas and Biggie Smalls. I want my music career to have a long life, which is why I chose the title of my song to be ‘Longevity'”.
